Abstract
The London International Wine Fair, which will take place in the ExCeL exhibition centre next month, will for the first time host winemakers from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
These winemakers will join producers from Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria who are already attending this annual international show. As part of the Croatian display, local marvels such as wines from the Zlatan Otok ("Golden Island") house, a Hvar Island based winery, will stage its products as well as a set of wines from the association of winemakers of Istria (the western Croatian peninsula). The Bosnian exhibition will include key local houses such as Hercegovina Produkt, Vukoje, Andrija, Citluk, Domanovic and Bobita. They will be sponsored by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. And the selection of wine products from Serbia will be promoted by the British supplier Ivanovic&McHardy. Meanwhile, the Distill Awards, which run alongside The International Wine Fair, will see Diageo Great Britain (GB) exhibiting for the second year running, along with independent drinks manufacturer Global Brands, which will be showcasing its portfolio of imported spirits. Products on-stand will include Sobieski, the multi-award winning premium Polish rye vodka and currently the fastest-growing international spirit in the world; Ypioca, the best selling premium cachaca in the world for the genuine taste and feel of Brazil; Myers's Rum, the Jamaican dark rum; Corky's Vodka Shots and the unique Goldschläger – the Cinnamon Schnapps Liqueur with floating flakes of real 24 carat gold. The London International Wine Fair will be held from 12th to 14th May at the ExCeL London, UK. This international meeting welcomes more than 1,300 exhibitors and 15, 000 professional visitors each year.
