Institute of Hospitality appoints new general manager

Abstract
The Institute of Hospitality has appointed Philip Stanley MIH to the new position of general manager for Hospitality Assured – the Standard for Service and Business Excellence in Hospitality.
Hospitality Assured is solely focused on the customer experience, providing a relevant and flexible framework that will assist in achieving consistent service. Philip will be joining the team with immediate effect and will be part of the senior management team, reporting to the chief executive Philippe Rossiter FIH. He has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years – working at establishments including the Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch, the Belfry Hotel in Warwickshire and more recently the head of sales and business development for Travelodge. Commenting on the appointment, Philipe Rossiter explained: "I am delighted to welcome Philip as the general manager…he joins the institute with a rich pedigree in the industry, and this has equipped him perfectly for the role." The new general manager's focus will be to raise the profile of the Standard to ensure that it continues to be relevant for the future.
