Abstract
On Tuesday October 6th Hospitality Action will host its first Derby night, the charity has announced.
The event is being held to raise vital funds to support those in the hospitality industry who have fallen upon hard times. The evening will be sponsored by Blackhouse and Woodford Reserve and will be hosted at the Blackhouse Grill in Chester from 7pm. Tickets are £60 per person. Hospitality Action CEO, Penny Moore, said: "In 2008 Hospitality Action awarded over £50,000 in grants to those in the North West. The Derby will enable us to continue offering these lifelines to past or current hospitality workers suffering from hardship." The starting gun will sound at 7pm with traditional Derby cocktails followed by a mouth watering three-course meal and a complimentary flutter. A compere will guide guests through the evening and bookies will be on hand to take the bets with prizes on offer. This is the first Hospitality Action Derby night with the smart money backing it to become a permanent fixture on the charity's fundraising calendar. Tickets for the Derby are £60 per person.
