Abstract
Industry charity, Hospitality Action, is calling on garden-lovers and foodies to sign up for a very special tour of Highgrove House – the home of Princes Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Taking place on Tuesday 1st September, the tour will focus on the gardens within the grounds. Hospitality Action chief executive Penny Moore explained more about the exclusive visit: "The gardens at Highgrove are not only incredibly beautiful, but also model examples of organic, environmentally-friendly and sustainable horticulture. "HRH The Prince of Wales is allowing us to bring a small party of hospitality industry guests to look around the gardens to see how they have been developed around organic principles. It's a must, not only for garden-lovers, but for chefs, hoteliers and restaurateurs who have their own kitchen gardens." Guests will meet at Calcot Manor, the Cotswold country house hotel and executive chef director Michael Croft will create a delicious lunch menu including produce grown at Duchy Home Farm. After lunch, the party will drive to Highgrove House for a guided tour of the gardens, followed by afternoon tea in the Orchard Room. Tickets are £100, with numbers strictly limited and all funds raised are in aid of The Prince's Charities Foundation and Hospitality Action, the charity which offers a lifeline to past or current hospitality workers who have fallen on hard times. To secure your place contact Astrid Wears-Taylor on 020 3004 5503 or at astrid@hospitalityaction.org.uk Visit www.hospitalityaction.org.uk for more information about the charity.
