Abstract
A new food product – La Pizza's Wholemeal Deep Pan Pizza Bases – have been launched especially for schools and are aimed in particular at the primary sector.
These new pizza bases have been launched in aid of encouraging children to eat healthier food. The new range of bases contain Omega-3 with more than twice the fibre content of a regular white pizza, as well as 10% added bran. Omega-3 is an "essential fatty acid" from the family of 'good fats' and are known to help prevent heart disease. It is also important for the healthy function of many body parts, including brain function. La Pizza is a privately owned manufacturer of Frozen Part Baked Pizza Bases, Dough Balls, Tear & Share garlic Bread and Mediterranean Speciality Breads.
