Having launched this year, the list recognises “leaders who are pushing procurement and supply chain strategy forward, making a positive contribution to the reputation of the profession, via the value to their own organisations and the work they do to raise the profile of the profession more widely.”
Oliver Cock, managing director of Foodbuy – which was founded in 2016 – said: “It is a privilege to have been named on the CIPS Procurement Power List alongside some exceptional business and industry leaders. I’m extremely proud to represent Foodbuy and would like to thank my team for their hard work and commitment in driving our business forward.
“I am firmly of the belief that we are delivering a game changing approach to food procurement.
“It’s an exciting time for Foodbuy but it’s also an exciting time to be working in procurement.
“At Foodbuy, it’s the combination of our scale, expertise, transparency and technology that means we’re able to deliver commercial results for our clients, but the procurement profession in general is really moving forward and demonstrating the impact it can have within an organisation.”
Other people featured on the list include Klaus Hofmann of KraftHeinz, and Melinda Johnson from the department for health and social care.
