The line up for this year's Care Cook of the Year Final has been revealed.
The six finalists who will cook off for the title at the University College of Birmingham on 3 July are: Fish in a blanket Fried Rice Grilled Tomato with herbs Mixed Peppers Banana Pancake with Vanilla Strawberry Sauce Poached Chicken Breast stuffed with garlic spinach, with a chunky basil & tomato sauce Potato Gnocchi Swede & Green Beans Bramley Apple Upside Down Tart with Jersey black butter, ice cream and cinnamon sticks Pork & Sage Patties wrapped in streaky bacon Served with Green Beans and Parsnips Caramelised Brandy Wedgies Hallamshire Pork Patti Potato & Apple Rosti Tomato Salsa Mixed Leaf Salad Tian of Peaches with Dark Chocolate Almond Sauce Smoke Haddock Kedgeree Vegetable Risotto With a Poached Egg & a mild Curry Sauce Cabinet Pudding with Crème Anglais Lemon & Dill Steamed Salmon Stir Fry Curley Kale and Ribbon Carrots Roasted Rosemary Baby Potatoes Fife Soft Fruits Cranacchan The contest is being organized by the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), and supported by The Worshipful Company of Cooks.
