Abstract
The finalists for Bladen's 'Big Cheese' competition have finally been revealed.
The lucky pub chefs to go head-to-head in the final contest are Steve Hardstone of the Jolly Farmer, Surrey; Anthony Williams of The Williams Arms, Devon and Mitchell Adams of The Thatchers Arms, Essex. All three finalists will now go on to compete in a cook-off, judged by the Craft Guild of Chefs and Bladen, at Richmond-Upon-Thames College on the 20 October. The winner will walk away with £1,000, win a development chef for the day to help them with their business and become Bladen's Big Cheese 2008. Bladen has been providing award winning cheeses, butter and spreads for over 40 years to chefs which include cheddars of every variety from mild to mature coloured, Double Gloucester, Red Leicester, Mozzarella and Monterey Jack.
