City & Guilds' 7100 workshop

4th Mar 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
Hoping to gain the support of the industry for its 7100 Diploma in Professional Cookery, City & Guilds is inviting all chefs and employers to attend a free workshop to introduce the new qualification, which it says is a return to the old City & Guilds' 706 programme.
The workshop will be held at Westminster Kingsway College, London on Thursday, April 24, starting at 2pm and followed by dinner in the college's Escoffier Room restaurant from 6-8pm. "The aim of the workshop is to introduce chefs to the assessment procedures for the 7100 Diploma in Professional Cookery. Most colleges invite chefs to observe and support candidate assessments and we feel that the chefs need more support on what the lecturers are looking for in particular," says a City & Guilds spokesman.
