Charlton House to host Christmas fair at National Assembly

29th Oct 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
Contract caterer Charlton House will be hosting a Christmas food fair next month and along with caterers at the National Assembly for Wales (NAFW) and Castell Howell Foods, they have invited Welsh suppliers to display and sell their produce at the festive event.
There will be up to 30 stands showcasing Welsh produce including cheese, traditional sweets, patisserie, Welsh whisky, hand-made chocolates, pickles, chutneys and home-made fudge. Scott Mason, Charlton House's on-site general manager, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for people to meet the people who have grown, reared, pickled and made these fantastic food items. It will be a celebration of Welsh food, direct from the producers." Mason and his team will have a Christmas-themed menu available for visitors including hot, honey-glazed ham ciabatta rolls, home-made turkey burgers, mince pies, Christmas cake and stollen. The event, which will be taking place on 12 November from 9.00am until 3.30pm at the pier Head Building at the NAFW in Cardiff Bay, is open to members of the public and is free to attend.
