28th Nov 2007 - 00:00
Abstract
Contractor Charlton House has won a contract with Ofcom, the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries, to manage catering at the firm's building at Riverside House, Southwark Bridge Road.
The independent caterers are due to take over Restaurant Associates on 3 December. The contract is valued at £570,000 in annual turnover. A team of 11 Charlton House staff will provide breakfast, lunch and hospitality service for 900 Ofcam employees. Judy Roberts, Charlton House business development manager, said: "Our goal is to upgrade the kitchen facilities by Easter and to create a restaurant environment where Ofcom employees can feel comfortable meeting throughout the day, with an excellent food offer which will far exceed anything available on the high street."
