Abstract
BaxterStorey celebrated its 2018 Graduate Programme and Advanced Management Programme graduates yesterday (5 June), at a ceremony which took place at the Blue Fin Building (London).

Designed to develop the employees ‘that make up the company,’ chairman Alastair Storey commented: “I am incredibly proud of all of everyone who has achieved success through this year's two programmes. I know that future business growth depends on the development and progression of all of our teams.”

Launched in 2011, the Graduate programme is aimed at young people starting out in the hospitality industry, and saw 20 out of 500 applicants participate – and all succeed - this year.

As well as completing nine months of training, the students undertook work placements across a number of businesses that BaxterStorey works with.

Storey said: “For those that have completed the Graduates Programme, their success demonstrates their enthusiasm and dedication to this industry. I look forward to welcoming them to the BaxterStorey family and to watching them grow further.

12 employees across BaxterStorey, Holroyd Howe and Searcys were meanwhile enrolled on the Advanced Management Programme, which aims to “develop current management colleagues who aspire to progress to senior roles within the business.”

Claiming to be ‘extremely impressed’ with all participants, Storey added: “Their achievements remind me of the many exceptionally talented employees we have and who make this business what it is.

“I look forward to working with them more, and to continue to watch their careers develop further.”
