Abstract
abm catering are celebrating a string of recent contract wins totaling over £6 million in total contract value.
The independent caterer has gained a 3-year deal worth £700,000 at The National Institute for Medical Research in London to manage the central restaurant and hospitality services to 600 staff on site including scientists, scientific support staff and international visitors. The contract was previously run by Eurest. The company has also won its first contract in Wales at Control Techniques Drives in Newtown, Powys. Under a 3-year contract worth £710,000, abm will take over from 7 Day Catering to provide restaurant and vending services to 400 employees. In healthcare, a contract worth £500,000 in annual turnover has been won at The Lakes Care Home Village in Walsall, providing catering services to 200 elderly residents across two care homes. In July abm also started a 3-year contract worth £1.2 million at Little Haven Residential Care & Nursing Home in Southampton taking over the previously managed in-house service along with a catering team of 25 staff. In education, a contract worth £1.1 million has been won at Halesowen College in the West Midlands in which abm will take over from 7 Day Catering in August to provide restaurant, deli bar and vending services to 3,700 students across three campus locations. Also in August, abm will start new contracts at Mill Hill School in Derby, catering for 1,265 students which was previously run by Scolarest, Biggin Hill School in Westerham, Kent, taking over from Sodexo and Valley Primary School in Bromley.
