Abstract
Tate & Lyle Sugars is offering time-pushed caterers a helping hand with Christmas with two last minute recipes for seasonal bakes.

Where Christmas cakes and puddings are traditionally stored for months before the festivities begin; Tate & Lyle Sugars has devised recipes using Lyle’s Golden Syrup, giving chefs and caterers a faster way of producing Christmas classics.

Golden Christmas Pudding and Last Minute Christmas Cake both utilise staple kitchen ingredients, including Lyle’s Golden Syrup.

Fraser Chynoweth, foodservice sales director, Tate & Lyle Sugars, commented: “We understand the stress, space and time constraints many chefs and caterers face around this time of year, which is why we have created these last minute recipes. They allow caterers to catch up and still provide home-made festive bakes, just weeks before Christmas. With our brand’s heritage and expertise, caterers can expect true quality and to deliver consistent results time after time.”

To celebrate the launch of these recipes, Tate & Lyle Sugars is giving one lucky caterer the chance to win a KitchenAid Mixer worth over £400. To enter, caterers must simply send their name, telephone number and address to sugarandsyrup@cirkle.com. The recipes for Golden Christmas Pudding and Last Minute Christmas Cake are available online at Tate & Lyle’s dedicated foodservice website, www.sugarandsyrup.com.
