Steamplicity says ‘thank you’ to Worthing Town Cryers
Abstract
A three-course Christmas lunch was provided to the Worthing Town Cryers, a dementia focus group, last week by the team at Steamplicity as a thank you for their collaborative work over the past year.

Steve Cenci, managing director of healthcare at Compass Group UK & Ireland, said: “I am so glad we were able to give something back to the wonderful members of the Worthing Town Cryers who have given their time to supporting others living with dementia.

“We are committed to supporting dementia patients and recognise the nutritional intake of individuals living with dementia is an essential part of their care.

“The feedback of the Worthing Town Cryers dementia focus group is already making a real difference to those who live with dementia and has informed a number of new food offers that we have developed over the past few months.”

The Worthing Town Cryers adopted their name because of their belief in a local voice on the subject of dementia to make the area more dementia friendly.

Compass Group recently launched their Dignified Dining toolkit, which outlines ten nutritional related guidelines to enable residents and patients living with dementia to be given more personalised and specialist support in relation to their food provision.
