SSP expands bakery offering at Frankfurt Airport

SSP Group, the global food and drink travel operator, is to launch two bakery brands at Frankfurt Airport as part of its on-going contract there.

Marking mark the debut of both BackWerk and Le Crobag on the German airport culinary scene, the former is a self-service and the latter a French-inspired bakery.

 

SSP Germany director business development and properties, Jan Kamp, said: “The brand mix (SSP) proposed for this initiative was precisely tailored for the specific needs of all relevant customer groups at the airport.

 

“We will enhance the new units with a stronger takeaway focus and high-level service.”

 

Managing director of BackWerk Management GmbH, Karl Brauckmann, added: “(BackWerk is) convinced that its experience in quick-service catering will be ideal to meet the demands at the airport. We are developing a new, commercially valuable channel.”
