Abstract
ScotHot, Scotland’s hospitality trade event, has announced the full speaker programme for the Scottish Tourism Alliance Spotlight Stage.

Taking place on the 13 and 14 March 2019 at Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus (SEC) it is being held in collaboration with Scottish Tourism Month.

The Spotlight Stage, in partnership with Scottish Tourism Alliance, features a programme of expert speakers from some of Scotland’s hospitality and tourism businesses, who will share their experiences and insights on some of today’s hot topics.

Key themes within this year’s programme include staff retention and training, social media, brand relationships, waste management, and mental health.

Marc Crothall, CEO at the Scottish Tourism Alliance, said:

“The Scottish Tourism Alliance is delighted to be partnering ScotHot for the third year to deliver what is considered the highlight of the Scottish Tourism Month 2019 Signature Programme.

“The Scottish Tourism Alliance Spotlight Stage within ScotHot has been carefully curated to complement the Scottish Tourism Alliance Signature Sessions, which will take place in the SEC on the 14th March. Through our partnership with ScotHot we are able to offer a unique and valuable event, delivering ‘do not miss’ insights and inspiration for tourism business owners, industry leaders, senior and middle management, suppliers to industry and anyone aspiring to succeed and carve out a successful career in hospitality and tourism.

“The 2019 programme has evolved and changed in style and format over the years, and now offers delegates visiting the show or attending the Scottish Tourism Alliance conference and workshop sessions even more flexibility to build their own two-day itinerary that benefits them, their business and sector, making their visit to Glasgow and the SEC 100% worthwhile.”

Highlights from speakers include ‘Teamwork Makes The Dream Work’, a gameshow-style panel presented by Scottish Tourism Alliance CEO Marc Crothall, where three couples working in hospitality will share the secrets of their success; and ‘Talking About It: Mental Health in Hospitality’, a panel discussion with leading industry figures, chaired by broadcaster and journalist Stephen Jardine.

Each session at the Scottish Tourism Alliance Spotlight Stage seats up to 70 delegates. Spaces will be available to book on the ScotHot website in advance of the show.
