Abstract
Scottish hospitality trade show, ScotHot, will take place 13-14 March at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC, Glasgow) it was this week announced.

As well as a line-up of industry speakers and top chefs, the biannual event is co-run by event organiser Fresh Montgomery and Scottish Tourism Month, in attempt to “grown Scotland’s reputation as a world-class culinary destination.”

With over 200 supplier exhibitors, there will also be educational seminars and live chef demonstrations, as well as the brand new ‘The Covered Market’ for 2019. This will feature ‘high quality’ products across six specialist categories (including bakery, butchery and dairy) after visitors last year placed raw ingredients and meeting producers as the key reasons for attendance.

Other highlights include:

  • Scottish Culinary Championship - highlighting the skills of Scotland’s next generation of top chefs, with awards presented for ‘Scottish Chef of the Year’ and ‘Scottish Junior Chef of the Year’
  • The Staff Canteen Live
  • Liquid Academy Live
  • Spotlight Stage – Scottish business leaders sharing their experiences and insights on some of the hot topics of the moment, including staff retention, mental health, social media and waste management

Fresh Montgomery event director Ross Carter said: “The industry’s appetite for ScotHot continues to grow year on year, and we’re delighted to announce the event’s return in 2019.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our exhibitors and delegates for an action-packed two days of activity in Glasgow.”
