Ronnie Murray leaves HIX for event caterer Camm & Hooper

Ronnie Murray has embarked on his new role as group executive head chef at London-based events company, Camm & Hooper, after seven years as HIX Restaurants’ group head chef.

After training in patisserie, Murray spent the next 17 years’ wokring in high-end establishments, such as J. Sheekey, Scott’s and HIX, and has also appeared on TV shows Great British Menu, Million Pound Menu and channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

 

As Camm & Hooper’s group executive head chef, he will oversee a team of 20 chefs and is set to launch new menus in all six of the company’s venues.

 

He said: “I’m excited to move around our six sites, which all have their own personalities, and create bespoke menus for them all.

 

“For me, (cooking is) all about keeping food simple. Seasonality and provenance will form the cornerstone of our new menus.”
