Abstract
Procurement organisation Foodbuy has signed a three-year partnership with strategic sourcing platform, Scanmarket, to deliver “innovation and transparency” around its procurement processes.

The new contract will see Foodbuy use Scanmarket for issuing requests for information, run eAuctions, store contract information and manage project workflows.

Foodbuy managing director Ian Murphy said: “We’re excited about our strategic partnership with Scanmarket.

“We think it’s a real disruptor in the strategic sourcing market and have been impressed with the levels of innovation we can pass on to our clients. We chose Scanmarket because it is excellent at simplifying complex processes and it has great customer service.

“Scanmarket’s ability to integrate with our own in-house eProcurement platform means that we have a more transparent, streamlined system which will benefit both our clients and suppliers, through increased clarity on decision making and timelines behind our sourcing programmes.

“The implementation of the system has been seamless and we’ve received some great bespoke support.”

Dan Gianfreda, director of sales and marketing at Scanmarket, added: “We are delighted to partner with Foodbuy. It is a progressive procurement business handling lots of growth.

“We’re looking forward to supporting (the company) in driving real, measurable results and delivering sustainable value.”
