Abstract
Freshly Chopped – the healthy eating company owned by Northern Ireland catering firm, Mount Charles – is hosting a fitness event next month (2 February) to promote healthy bodies and minds.

With £5 of every ticket sale going to depression charity AWARE, the group workout is suitable for all fitness levels and comprises two cardio sessions with emphasis on motivation, camaraderie and fun.

The ‘Freshly Chopped Sweat Party’ take places 10am-12:30pm and includes coffee at Freshly Chopped (Donegall Square West) beforehand followed by ‘recovery’ brunch at Freshly Chopped (Academy Street).

Mount Charles head of sales and marketing, Gavin Annon, commented: “We’re excited to launch Freshly Chopped sweat parties. We’ve seen the popularity of these events growing in other cities like London and New York, and thought it’d be brilliant for Belfast - especially at this time of year when people are determined to set the tone for their health and wellbeing in the year ahead.

“Research shows that participation in physical activity can increase self- esteem and reduce stress and anxiety. So whatever your level of fitness, you’re welcome to come along, join in, and leave feeling empowered.”
