Abstract
Peter McGrath, chair of the Lead Association of CAtering in Education (LACA), has expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his commitment to continuing Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).
McGrath writes: “By investing in our young people now, the long term impact on health and wellbeing will be immeasurable in addition to saving the NHS crucial funds currently used to treat obesity and the related illnesses.”
In his letter, McGrath also invites David Cameron to visit an exemplar school delivering the best school food has to offer so the Prime Minister can witness the difference UIFSM has made to children and families.
