Abstract
Independent caterer, Bartlett Mitchell, has announced four senior appointments.

James Greetham will join as strategic business development director, Russell Scanlon has joined as director (northern region), and Neil MacLaurin has been appointed as non-executive director.

Wendy Bartlett, founder, Bartlett Mitchell, said: “I am delighted to welcome these incredibly talented people into our BM family. We have always worked hard to ensure that we constantly invest in our business, and people are a critical part of that process.

“As one of the only truly independent businesses, we are pleased that more clients are looking to us to help them provide their businesses with a food offer they can be proud of.

“We know that, in order to keep growing in a sustainable way, we need to find people whose values are aligned to ours. Our Fundamentally foodie values aren’t just a piece of marketing, they define everything we do. That’s why we invest a lot of time and resource to recruit and retain the very best people in our sector. We are incredibly proud to make these appointments and we’re looking forward building on our already amazing business operations.”

Starting on 1 May, Greetham will lead the strategic business development team at Bartlett Mitchell, ‘building on its continued and sustainable growth’. Greetham has also worked for Restaurant Associates and Levy Restaurants in senior business development roles, as well as working across the sector in restaurants and bars.

In a newly created role, Scanlon will be responsible for the company’s operational and business development activity in the midlands and north as it continues to grow its regional presence across the UK. He ‘brings a wealth of multi-sector hospitality experience’ in operational management, sales, strategy and concept development having worked for a number of London and national caterers, in a career spanning 25 years.

MacLaurin, who joins as non-executive director of the business, will support the board with governance, strategic and commercial guidance.

He has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality, sport and leisure, working both domestically and internationally. MacLaurin has owned and managed numerous FTSE 100 and private businesses.

The company has also appointed Matthew Fox as business development manager. Reporting to James Greetham, Fox will support the growth of the company through its business development succession planning.
