Foodinate celebrates partnership with meal delivery company Balance Meals
Abstract
Manchester-based social enterprise Foodinate has announced a partnership with health-focussed meal preparation delivery service Balance Meals to help those in need.

This partnership means that, for the first time, you can order meals direct to your door and benefit a person in need in your local community with a hot, nourishing meal for themselves.

The four selected meal options are: spiced chicken and quinoa, peanut butter bagel, pulled barbeque chicken, tofu and super greens. Every meal delivered is designed with nutrition and balance in mind.

Caroline Stevenson launched Foodinate to help the homeless in Manchester. The UK is the seventh richest country in the world but there are over 13 million people living below the poverty line.

Jem Selcuk, co-founder at Balance Meals, said: “As Foodinate’s first national meal prep provider, we are giving our customers the opportunity to Foodinate all three of their meals each day if they want to – at no extra cost to them! With each Foodinate meal enjoyed resulting in a meal for a local person in need, we can have a massive impact on food poverty in the local community together.

“Balance Meals is already having a positive impact with customers by helping them choose healthy daily meals which come pre-portioned, minimising food waste caused by overspending and cooking. Choosing Balance Meals now also positively impacts a local person in need – at no added cost to you!”

In June Foodinate announced that they had donated their 100,000th meal to those in need.
