Abstract
Organisations in the health, nutrition and vitality arena are gearing up for the first ever ‘Health & Vitality Honours’ – a brand new scheme specially created to establish a platform for foodservice businesses to showcase healthy best practice.

The Health & Vitality Honours aim to promote a change in the culture of consumption, the manufacture of healthier products, the implementation of healthier programmes in cost and profit sectors, and raise awareness of the industry’s achievements amongst consumers.

Organisations in search of industry-wide recognition and challenging for an Honour will be announced at the Health & Vitality Honours celebration lunch (Friday 18th January 2013 at The Long Room, Lord’s Cricket Ground), and include those in the Roll of Honour below:

•    3663

Matt Dawson MBE, Sodexo Health Ambassador and Health & Vitality Honours judge, said: “I firmly believe that the foodservice industry has an enormous responsibility for its constituents’ health, in both the cost and profit sectors; whether it’s restaurant dining on the high street or contract catering within the workplace.

"Foodservice is a sector that has the power to influence a healthy culture and drive the well-being agenda, and I’m delighted that the Health & Vitality Honours ‘Roll of Honour’ contains catering organisations as well as major suppliers and wholesalers which service the industry.”
