Eurest Services expands its £200m contract with Shell

25th Nov 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Eurest Services, part of Compass Group, has signed one of the largest international facilities management (FM) contracts of its kind with the energy and petrol company, Shell.
This new extension to the existing contract will see Eurest Services providing hard and soft services to Shell sites across the USA, Canada and Latin America and the contract is now valued in excess of £200m in annual revenue. The extended contract with Eurest Services will enable Shell to rationalise the number of existing FM contractors in the Americas from more than 150 down to one. Eurest Services will continue to provide a wide array of services including catering, vending, cleaning, reception, mechanical services and electrical services at a variety of sites including headquarters, refineries and mines. This extended deal with Shell across the Americas expands the existing international contract in the UK and Europe, already accounting for approximately £100 million of annual revenue. This international relationship began with Shell in early 2007 since which time Eurest Services has provided services to the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, the North Sea, Nordic Offshore, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Greece. Steven McGregor, international business development director, for Compass, added: "Securing this valuable expansion to our existing international agreement is strong confirmation that we have aligned ourselves to the needs of Shell at every level in our business. We look forward to working together across the Americas over the coming years."
