Abstract
Contract caterer Innovate Services has won its first business and industry (B&I) contract to manage the onsite catering for Ultra Electronics at Greenford, Middlesex.

Innovate will deliver their range of food and beverages and manage the overall daily catering function for its 400+ employees and guests.

Derick Martin, CEO of Innovate Services, said: “To have been selected by Ultra Electronics to manage its catering function at Greenford is very exciting for us, particularly as this is our first step into B&I catering.

“We have extensive experience in modernising school catering and this approach can be easily adapted for the B&I sector. Our team is very much looking forward to launching a rejuvenated menu, which focuses on freshly-made food, great service and in delivering a delicious range of meal options that will have wide appeal.”

The company will also increase the hours in which the dining facilities are available to staff at Ultra, with a breakfast service starting at 7:30am and concluding at 10:00am. The lunchtime service will the commence from 12:00 midday until 2:00pm, while a ‘Grab & Go’ option has been extended so it is available throughout the working day from 7:30am until 3:30pm. To ease queuing, bar coding has been introduced, and cashless payments will also be implemented in due course.

A member of the Ultra Electronics panel explained why Innovate was selected. They said: “Innovate really stood out to us -the presented a typical meal and board-level buffet, which really showcased their inventive and value for money approach. We liked the fact that everything they serve is a blend of freshly made, healthy meals, which is produced on-site, using fresh ingredients.”

Innovate Services Ltd, established in 2007, focused primarily on catering in the education sector and recently launched its ‘Innovate 4 Little People’ service, which provides a fully catered service to primarily schools across the UK.
