Abstract
Caterer KUDOS has launched a salt awareness initiative across its cafes and venues across the country as part of its wellbeing drive.

Venues up and down the country, such as The John Smiths Stadium in Huddersfield, Wesley’s Café at Central Hall Westminster, The Porcupine Pantry in Penshurst Place and The Wilson Café in Cheltenham, took part in the campaign, which focused on knowledge, inspiration and action.

Teams were educated on the health impact of salt and inspired by chefs to create new recipes using high flavour alternatives by adding citrus and spices.

Chief Executive of KUDOS, Matthew Herter, said: “It’s been an insightful month for everyone at KUDOS and we are always happy to be involved with initiatives that can make a huge difference in people’s everyday lives.

“Sometimes people focus on a single ingredient in their diet, with the likes of sugar being in the spotlight for example. Therefore we took the opportunity to highlight other areas of awareness and provide some practical advice and recipes for our customers to experience, proving you can experience fuller flavours with less salt.”
