Abstract
BRITA Professional is pledging its support to industry charity Hospitality Action (HA) by donating £1 for each Traditional AquaQuell filter and AquaQuell Purity replacement cartridge ordered in November.
The water filtration specialist is encouraging as many customers as possible to exchange old water filters in a bid to raise as much cash as possible for HA – and improve profitability for operators across the industry.
Anthony Spruce, sales director at BRITA Professional, said: "There are thousands of water filters in the UK that currently need to be replaced. If a fraction of these operators sign up to replace, or install, a BRITA filter in November, together we'll be able to raise a considerable sum for Hospitality Action.
"An ineffective filter can negatively affect the taste, aroma and appearance of food and drink, not to mention damage machinery such as coffee machines, combi ovens and vending machines. All these factors can have a serious impact on profitability so it pays to have a fully functioning water filter."
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, added: "We're urging hospitality operators to check when their water filters were last changed, or indeed if they've got one fitted. If not, please give BRITA a call in November so you can help us raise some much needed funds for Hospitality Action and at the same time improve the quality of the food and beverages served in your establishment."
