Contract caterer Aramark has appointed a new director of operations for North West.
Phil Smith will be responsible for a number of business and industry, education, judicial and healthcare contracts.
He joins Aramark from Sodexo, where he held a number of senior positions at operations and regional director level, and was also previously at Catering Academy.
Sue Johnson, Aramark’s managing director for the North and Midlands, said: “People with Phil’s depth and breadth of experience are hard to find. He will make a massive contribution to the success of ARAMARK in the North West and we’re excited to have him on board.”
The news follows the appointments in 2012 of James Dallas and Glyn Ingram as directors of operations for the East Midlands and North East.
