Meet our Top 20 ‘most influential’ for 2015

Cost Sector Catering’s annual list of the Top 20 ‘most influential’ people involved in public sector catering has been revealed in the December issue of the magazine.

This year, the 2015 edition reflects some of the big issues that currently face the sector – universal infant free schools meals (UIFSM), the standard of food in hospitals and the threat to meals on wheels services created by cuts in funding to local authorities.

 A group of independent judges was brought together and asked to decide on a top 20 of the movers, shakers, influencers, thinkers and campaigners who have had an impact on public sector catering over the last year.

 Here they are:

Geoff Booth, Westminster Kingsway College & chair of PACE (Professional Association of Catering Education)

Linda Cregan, Children’s Food Trust chief executive

Alberto Crisci, the Clink Charity Brands and Events Director

Andrew Etherington, chair of UK and Ireland arm of the FCSI (Foodservice Consultants Society International)

Lindsay Graham, school meals campaigner, lead on All Party Parliamentary Group of School Food’s holiday hunger task force

Sharon Hodgson, Shadow Children’s Minister and chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group on School Food

Dianne Jeffrey, chair of Age UK and the Hospital Food Standards Panel

Andy Jones, chair of the PS100 Group and immediate past chair of the Hospital Caterers’ Association (HCA)

Caroline Lecko, Patient Safety Lead, NHS England

Mark Linehan, managing director of the Sustainable Restaurant Association

Peter McGrath, chair of LACA (Lead Association for Catering in Education)

Alistair McIntyre, Chair of ASSIST (the Association of Service Solutions in Scotland).
