Clink Charity appoints new trustees and ambassador

New appointments have this week seen prisoner rehabilitation charity, The Clink, welcome new trustees and its founding funder, Lady Edwina, as its new ambassador for female graduates.

Stepping down as a trustee after seven years, Lady Edwina’s new role will “allow her more time to continue her vital work in (women’s prisons) with her newly founded organisation, One Small Thing.”

Taking the concept of trauma-informed working, One Small Thing works across all women’s prisons in England and has recently started working with the Long Term High Secure male estate.

The charity’s three new trustees include: political journalist Jeremy Paxman; Bojana Ignjatovic, partner and economist at RBB Economics; and Shabaz Mohammed from Pelican Procurement Services.

The Clink Chairman , Finlay Scott, commented: “On behalf of the board I would like to welcome Bojana, Jeremy and Shabaz, and I look forward to working with them all.

“On a personal note I would like to thank Edwina for the incredibly valuable work and support she has given over the last seven years and for being such a charming colleague, who I have thoroughly enjoyed working with.

“I look forward to her continued support in her role as an ambassador.”
